Y’all, what are we gonna do? I kept waiting for someone to answer.

I read the Ankler, I read Puck, I used to read Nikki Finke, plus a litany of podcasts, books on the Industry, and if you just aggregate the ideas of the many brilliant humans who have posited salvations for the Current Situation We Find The Film Industry In, we would have our answer.

So, in the Complete Leadership Vacuum Intergalactic Garbage Fire™ we are currently experiencing, I will put into writing what I’ve been exasperatingly awaiting someone else to say.

Two Main Things

If we could just get the two things below sorted out, so many things would fall into place to support a robust creative class in the USA. Maybe one day we’ll talk about the absolute insanity of the film industry, and how it simultaneously reveres and slowly succubus-kills its creative class… But that’s for another day. For now, here’s where we *should* be headed, since AMPTP went and already got the government involved.
